Guidance on fixtures & fittings for classroom checklist

Are permanent fixtures, such as cupboards, bookcases or wall mounted boards, securely fixed in place to prevent over-turning if climbed?. Is furniture in good condition (e.g. no sharp edges caused by delamination on wood, no splits in plastic, cracked welds on metal, bent legs on chairs and tables)?

Are there any exposed radiator/heater surfaces which could cause burns? If you can't touch it for more than a few seconds this is likely the case. Is any portable equipment stable (e.g. are any wheels/feet/legs missing)? If wheeled do the wheels all turn and swivel correctly? If equipment rotates around a horizontal axis (e.g. whiteboard) do locking clamps hold securely to prevent unplanned rotation?

the furniture in this room provides lots of opportunities to climb. At least some of it isn't secured to prevent over-turning (see gap behind tall cupboard in corner)

if not clamped securely whiteboards can unexpectedly rotate aound their support axis
